SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

I am a software developer with expertise in software development, having worked in this field professionally since 2013. I began my career with back-end services developed in Python. Recently, I have concentrated on creating programs that execute test automation before the product is released into production.

STUDENT OF LIFE

Throughout my life, I have had a love of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. I like to use the concepts and ideas to make Art. I am a writer and I always have projects going on.

WHITE ELEPHANT

Don't think about the white elephant. Okay, you did. Maybe... now. I have always been fascinated by making things. In this portfolio, I have all the projects that don't fit professionally or academically.

CAREER

Software development lifestyle

Since graduating with my bachelor's degree, my dedication to the work and motivation to grow has led me to exceptional projects and experiences. I’m grateful for a profession I’m passionate about, and am proud to share examples of my greatest work. Take a moment to check out my github portfolio, and get in touch with any questions.

A rounded education

Learning has been very important to me. Starting at about 12 years old I started to take my education seriously. Being who I am I focused on a myriad of subjects. This sporadic focus on a number of subjects would continue well into college where I attempted two at times, three majors, at once. This is not to say that I could sustain such efforts, and I quickly found myself focused on Mathematics.

ACADEMIA

UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO

Bachelor's in Mathematics

While attending CU I received a well rounded education. I spent more than 7 years there. I took classes in computer science, education, philosophy, history, math, and just about everything that I was interested in.

FOOTHILLS ACADEMY

High School Degree

Substantial high school education. Traditional where needed and otherwise advanced. My high school taught me everything from how to calculate the area under a curve to how to backpack in the Utah desert.

AND BEYOND...

Ongoing education

My studying and learning did not end with traditional school. Although I am well past the age of cramming and focusing fully on classes, I am still learning a little each day. More importantly, I maintain my education by brushing up on skills acquired earlier.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people's thinking."

― Steve Jobs

WHITE ELEPHANT

These projects often hang around. They are constantly on my mind. Also, they are an outlet for my sporadic nature. They allow me to focus on other things besides work and study. In fact, I would say it's natural to want to create art, writing, and other works not just to keep busy, but to explore different ways of thinking and creating.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

-- Steve Jobs
